The Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy is amazing! The service airline tickets to london was excellent, rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and even the bathroom and shower airline tickets to london was great. We really loved the courtyards with the beautiful orange trees. airline tickets to london The safety inside the hotel was also a plus.
We arrived early on our first morning and even though check in wasn't airline tickets to london until the afternoon, out room was ready for us!! The breakfast was delicious...eggs, breads, yogurt, cereal, juices of every variety, cappuccinos, airline tickets to london coffee, there was something for everyone's taste. It is a great location in the Trastevere, near a lot of restaurants and cafes and not too far from excellent shopping. We felt very safe in the Trastevere neighborhood as well. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know that is going to Rome and Italy!
We came to Rome for a business meeting airline tickets to london and decided to start are Rome trip with some sightseeing. We loved Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy. The staff were courteous, warm and helpful. The bed was firm and comfortable. (I Have a neck injury and this is very important to me). The location was perfect. We were there 4 nights, and then transferred to a high-dollar Waldorf Astoria property in Rome to attend the meeting. It could not compare with Santa Maria Hotel. I will definitely airline tickets to london stay there again.
The only down side of our stay in Trastevere was when we went to a restaurant (recommended on the Internet) and we were charged 100 Euros for a meal which we did not get. We should have stuck with the restaurants recommended by the hotel staff.
We loved the location of the Santa Maria Hotel in Trastevere, an easy walk across the Tiber river to historical Rome. The Trastevere is a lively but laid-back neighborhood, an off the beaten track, but not out in the sticks. The Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy is on a tiny side street just a few steps away from the Piazza Santa Maria, with its beautiful airline tickets to london Basilica airline tickets to london Santa Maria.
Our hotel room was a little on the small side, but clean and quiet, airline tickets to london and looking out onto a lovely courtyard (where they serve breakfast when the weather is good). Breakfast was good, with eggs and cold meats as well as the usual breads, and excellent coffee, of course! Staff were helpful without being intrusive. It is not 'full service' hotel, airline tickets to london there is no restaurant, a limited bar, no health club or gift shop, but for our Rome vacation travel, we preferred a small hotel with character over an impersonal airline tickets to london franchise. We would definitely stay at Santa Maria Hotel Rome Italy again.
We stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy for 4 nights in Feb 2009. A very quaint hotel (quite different from the normal hotel chains in Rome). The actual hotel is elegant and well decorated and the rooms have a chalet feel to them as each room opens up onto a central courtyard.
It has all the mod cons one would expect, the negatives were that our Superior room was a bit dark with only one small window, it becomes claustrophobic when spending too much time inside. Also, they don't allow any ironing in the room or personal food and beverages put into the fridge, so perhaps not ideal for a longer stay in Rome. The double bed in our room was laid with 2 single mattresses so there was a dip down the center of the bed.
There is one computer in the main hotel lounge, which is free to use, but there is no internet in the rooms. There is a bar but is often unmanned and we had to ask for it to be opened. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the central patio is very picturesque with its orange trees.
The Trastevere area is quite central, and allowed us to walk to all the main sites i.e. The Vatican museums, St Peters, Roman Colosseum, Roman Forums, Bocca della Verit Square, airline tickets to london Pantheon square, Spanish steps (Piazza di Spagna) etc... and there are plenty of excellent restaurants within minutes of the hotel's front door. So for us it was a very pleasant stay.
My wife and I stayed at this quaint hotel, The Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy in early January 2009. A former cloister it is located in the Trastevere airline tickets to london area of Rome which is across the Tiber River (Trastevere actually mean 'across the Tiber') and very close to all the major Rome tourist sites (Roman Colisseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc.) It is a very easy walk to any of these sites. You may have to walk a little further than if you had stayed in central Spanish Steps area or perhaps the Pantheon area, but then you would miss out on great views of the Tiber River, excellent night social life pubs and restaurants, and an authentic Roman neighborhood experience. Also, Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy is an EASY bus ride on the Number 23 to The Vatican and st Peters. The walk to the Rome Colisseum is only about 30 minutes and the walk to The Vatican is also about 30 minutes in the other direction.
Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy is an oasis in the middle of Trastevere. The Trastevere part of Rome is less commercial and has been described as crusty or gritty (I wouldn't airline tickets to london know why) but don't be scared off by these descriptions. If we had stayed in any of the other Rome hotels we passed along a more beaten path, we would have missed this experience. airline tickets to london The area around the Santa Maria hotel has narrow cobbled stone streets and at night is very well lit and very safe, which is a concern for some people when they go to a foreign city like Rome.
Once you enter the green gate from the street and walk down the ivy-covered wall that leads to the front door, you feel like you are in a different world. It is secluded quiet inviting and comfortable. If we had been at Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy with warmer weather we would have spent more time hanging out in the courtyard after a long day of sightseeing in Rome. Mid January isn't prime hanging out weather in Rome.
The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. airline tickets to london They are not huge but how big a room does a monk or a tourist in Rome need? The bathrooms are modern and clean and the water pressure in the shower is hard and relaxing. You are supplied with fresh towels everyday and there is also a safe in the room.
Trastevere is also a good place to find food. The hotel staff is good at recommending restaurants in Trastevere. You must try either Taverna Trilussa or ai Fionaroli. (I'm going from memory here on the names but I think I'm close on the spelling). It seems like I should put some minuses about the Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy because no hotel ever gets it exactly right. For us, however, it was a perfect little place with helpful, courteous staff and no problems.
We stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria Rome Italy based on some Hotel reviews. We found prices to be much less in Trastevere airline tickets to london (food, drink, souvenirs, lodging) than we experienced in Piazza Navono, Veneto, and Piazza di Spagna. We would definitely return to Trastevere and the Santa Maria hotel. .
Pros's: airline tickets to london For 170 Euros/night airline tickets to london for a double room including a fairly substantial breakfast and evening snacks (excluding drinks) this Rome hotel was good value. I e-mailed the hotel to make reservations for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners, and the hotel graciously made arrangements which they confirmed back by e-mail.
The rooms are cosy clean, with good fresh towels airline tickets to london (no washcloths, as is usual in Rome and Italy.) Many, many restaurants, pizzerias, and trattorias close at hand. Reception and breakfast staff all spoke good English. We arrived around 10:30 am, and were allowed to check into our room early plus were offered coffee and snacks from the breakfast table. We felt safe, as the streets were full of people at all hours, and there were also mounted police.
Con's: Thin dividing walls meant we could hear the guest in the room next to us typing late at night. When our neighbors staggered in after midnight, we heard every word. Take earplugs to Rome if you sleep lightly. The rooms have flat-screen televisions, but no clocks. We asked the hotel if they could reconfirm my reservation with Rome Cabs (by e

A long time ago during the Roman Empire the Via Veneto area was inhabited by rich Roman families with luxurious villas. The area once again experienced a brief resurgence of fame and decadance after Italian film director Federico Fellini released his 1960 classic La Dolce Vita.
The area may not be as famous now as during its heyday but the atmosphere lingers on in the hotels and restaurants. Expect to pay premium rates for your Rome holiday accommodation, but also expect discount car rental in salt lake city to bathe in luxury and be spoilt rotten.
The area borders the relaxing Borghese gardens. Its focal point and heart is the Via Veneto which winds its way from the Piazza Barberini (with Bernini's Fontana del Tritone ) to the Porta Pinciana at the Villa Borghese gardens.
Characteristic of the area are the covered cafes on wide sidewalks (a luxury in Rome) and the beautiful 19th century villas and hotels. A prime example being the US Embassy. This grand palazzo was originally discount car rental in salt lake city the private residence of the Ludovisi family, the original owners of most of the Via Veneto area.
These four fountains each occupy the corner of one building on the intersection, which also happens to be the highest point of Quirinal hill - also the highest and largest of Rome's 7 hills. The work was commissioned by Pope Sixtus V as part of his massive restoration project of Rome.
The Palazzo Barberini in Via delle Quattro Fontane was originally built for Pope Urban in 1623 (Barberini being the Pope's original name) it now houses paintings discount car rental in salt lake city from the 13th to 16th century and exhibitions for the National Art Gallery of Rome Italy.
If you're a thrill seeker and into delvings discount car rental in salt lake city of the macabre kind then it may be worth your while to visit the Santa Maria della Concezione in Via Veneto No. 27. In the crypt beneath the church the bones of thousands of Capuchin friars decorate the walls in a sombre monument to death.
The symbolism is 'our inevitable destiny', 'we are nothing in the greater scheme of things'. A very centering experience and not one you will forget. Opening hours are brief: from 09:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 because they only run a skeleton crew
There are plenty of commercial centers and outlets in the Via Veneto Rome area, certainly enough to keep the average foreigner interested. However, if you fall into the 'shopaholic category' then you had better head off down to the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish steps) area, without further ado!
From Barberini and Repubblica you can either head across the Tevere towards discount car rental in salt lake city the Vatican City or in the other direction towards the nearby Termini Station. Termini is convenient as you can change Metro lines and then travel to the ancient Roman Colosseum , Circus Maximus or Piramide.
Good tip: The 116 Electric discount car rental in salt lake city bus will take you from Piazza Barberini up Via Veneto and through the Villa Borghese Gardens, and in the other direction it will head down past the Trevi Fountain , Roman Pantheon , Piazza Navona and finally to the front door of the Vatican City before heading back to the Via Veneto Rome area!
Note : If you have not heard about it already on my site then the ATAC public transportation in Rome site has a great tool to calculate the quickest route from point A to point B anywhere in Rome (using public transport). When you arrive at the website click on the English language option to the right. Fill in your departure address and arrival address.
The area is known for its restaurants and pavement cafes so it will not be difficult to indulge your waist line. The Via Veneto Rome area is however not known for its Rome nightlife so if you want to paint the town red (or perhaps in Rome it's correct to say spraypaint the town red ) then you need to head down to the Piazza Navona, Campo d Fiori and Trastevere discount car rental in salt lake city areas.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Seattle this Fall with either visiting Portland OR or Vancouver. Since I know nothing about the West Coast, I just know Fodorites will help me out. We are in our 60's and usually take a trip to Europe but have decided to keep our money in the USofA this time.
Seattle and Vancouver are the biggest cities - very urban. Both are beautiful. They have a different feel. Seattle is grungier and funkier with a lot of interesting neighborhoods. Vancouver is cleaner and has an amazing downtown and park system - more planned and organized. Stanley Park and the entire waterfront is great. Vancouver has preserved asia travel guide more of the native American feel (totem pole culture). It is a mix of China and England, in a way.
Depending on how many days you have to spend, you could do all three. Fly to PDX and ride the TriMet light rail into the city. the end of the Red line is right outside the baggage claim at PDX. Spend a full day in the city before renting a car for such things as the waterfalls and Mt. Hood east of the city nad Astoria asia travel guide and the coast south of Astoria.
if you want to see the city of Victoria, take the Port Angeles ferry over. Return to Seattle and return the rental car and take the Amtrak bus or train to Vancouver. You really do not need a rental car in Vancouver since there is a great deal of the city that you can walk or take a HOHO bus to see including Stanley Park. I'm sure you can fly home from Vancouver.
My choice is Seattle and Portland, asia travel guide mostly because Portland is within an easy drive of two of the most spectacular natural attractions in the NW--the asia travel guide Columbia River Gorge (with its waterfalls) and the Oregon Coast.

To make the most of the time I'll be there, i'm really interested in viewing the space needle and a few other sights in Seattle, and though cheap car rental in perpignan france plane or train are both good options to get there from Vancouver, I'm really keen to get there by driving, heck; driving in a different cheap car rental in perpignan france country with a different car and experiencing the sights, even solo, sounds like a great journey.
From what I understand, i'll need to drive across a border between the states, will I need to have any paperwork completed to let me into Seattle from Vancouver and back? Is the drive going to be straight forward or complicated? I've 5 years driving experience across the UK and hope this is enough for a my trip planned. Is it possible to make it there and back in one day, or would I look at taking two days round trip to complete it, and any UK drivers had experience doing this trip, will i need specific documents etc? is there a good route to take that i can take regular stop off's to view sights etc on the way?
The first thing is, you will have to organise a visa to enter the US, before you fly to Vancouver. Without it, you will not be able to cross the border. Actually, what you need is the Visa Waiver Program, cheap car rental in perpignan france which allows you entry into the US for up to 90 days.
Yeah! I can understand your parents reluctance to let you go, even at 25. Been there, done that and seen it many times as well. But maybe they will not feel so bad if you tell them that I did it solo as a grandmother... sleeping in my minivan. cheap car rental in perpignan france In fact I went all the way to AK.
There are several routes you can take to cross the border and drive to Seattle. If you possibly can get hold of maps of BC and WA, that would help you a great deal. Crossing the border southbound onto I-5, the major crossing, is very congested and busy and could take quite some time. There are other crossings cheap car rental in perpignan france which you will see marked on the maps.
If the people you are visiting in Vancouver cheap car rental in perpignan france are members of the CAA, they should be able to send you over those two maps. Otherwise the best thing to do is purchase a Rand McNally road atlas, which essentially has the same information. Maps are invaluable with planning cheap car rental in perpignan france a trip, and essential when on the road.
I would allow at least two nights in Seattle. There is quite a bit to see, besides the Space Needle, there is Pike's Market... don't miss it. The library is also a show piece, as is the Melbourne tram which runs along the waterfront. The HI hostel in Seattle is one of the best in North America. Make sure when you rent a vehicle that it is allowed to cross the border. The drive to Seattle, even on I-5 is quite nice. But you could take a different route each way for variety.
While in Vancouver, I highly recommend cheap car rental in perpignan france that you make a visit to Giribaldi Prov Pk., Whistler, Squamish and if you have the time to the glacial lakes up near Lilooet. Lilooet is a lovely cheap car rental in perpignan france little place. The glacial lakes in that area are three lakes one above the other, each one drains into the one below. There is a lovely walk up to the top lake.
Currently, i'm planning to pick up a rental car in the evening a day before, and will take a few hours to get used to the vehicle (being automatic, my forte' being manual) and then head out to Seattle early the next morning, cheap car rental in perpignan france departing at maybe 6 or 7am.
As a UK citizen, you shouldn't need anything other than the Visa Waiver Program documents. It should be a pretty easy process. You may want to have a copy of your return plane ticket, just in case there are any questions about when you plan to return home, but that's really just an extra precaution and not likely to be a big issue.
I'm not sure of the specific rules in Washington State or British Columbia, but typically, citizenship doesn't matter cheap car rental in perpignan france at all for using a firing range. It's really just an age issue, cheap car rental in perpignan france and you'll need a valid id - for which a British Passport should be just fine. I'd do a search of ranges you might to visit and contact them directly for their policies, but I would't see it as being a problem.
Check their website. First we had the VWP, and in recent cheap car rental in perpignan france years they have had the Esta. I understood that the one replaced the other. However, since I have not used either (I travel on a different visa), cheap car rental in perpignan france I am not 100% sure. But why not ask a local travel agent.
