There s a lot happening on the Streetsblog calendar this week. You can offer your ideas on Vision Zero initiatives for Harlem and the Bronx, organize for better buses in Crown Heights, and advocate for a safer Queens Boulevard. Plus, don t forget: Friday is Bike to Work Day.
Also Tuesday: Bronx Community Board 8 is scheduled to vote on Van Cortlandt Park s 20 Year Master Plan . New York Cycle Club is asking the public to show up in support of the plan, which includes numerous trail upgrades. 7:30 p.m.
Also Thursday: City State is hosting a panel on the state of New York s transportation infrastructure, including state DOT Commissioner Joan McDonald, MTA Chairman Tom Prendergast, and Lori Ardito of NYC DOT. 8 a.m.
Also Friday: It s Bike to Work Day! Join Transportation Alternatives for the Bike Home From Work Party , transforming DUMBO into a festival of bike commuting with pop-up shops, food, a beer garden, and more. 6:30 p.m.
Also, here s a heads-up for a conference later this month: The  Walk-Bike New York Symposium is scheduled for May 21 and 22 in Suffern. Join 200 attendees from across renaissance chicago north shore hotel the state to learn about creating walkable and bikeable communities.
