Luxury hotel connected across from the the Vancouver Convention Center and Canada Place Cruise Ship

My friends and family stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel Vancouver, just after Christmas hotels heathrow airport in 2013. The location at the waterfront, opposite the Canada Place (which has the Fly over Canada ride) is great. It is close to the convention center too.
The rooms were nice, we had booked a room with two double beds and the dimensions of the room was of a decent size. You have to remember that at this time of the year, it rains a lot. So the kids were comfortable and the grown ups did not feel claustrophobic staying in it.
At the concourse level of the hotel, there are doors into the small mall that can lead you to a food court (Subway, McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Fat Burger etc) which in turn has a tunnel that leads you to Canada Place (also home to the Pan Pacific Hotel, Fly over Canada ride).
