All participants aaa travel guide must be at least 21 years of age. Participants must provide their own transportation to/from the tour start location. Bottled water is not included with the cost of the tour, participants are encouraged to bring a bottle of water that they may fill up at certain sites. Gratuity for your tour guide is not included and is appreciated if you enjoy the tour. If you want a rule of thumb, $5 per person is an average tip. Participants will be required to walk a total of 1 mile at a leisurely pace over the course of the tour. Once you have scheduled a date and have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final and no rescheduling or cancellations will be allowed. Quite a bit! This is a chocolate, desserts and wine tour so there won't be much in the way of veggies aaa travel guide or protein. The number of stops varies, but generally speaking each tour will have 4 - 6 stops with the last stops.
Please let us know during your booking and let the guide know what you cannot eat at the beginning of your tour. Your guide will do everything possible to arrange substitutes for you, and if you need to skip the food at a particular stop your guide will make sure you get an extra sample at another stop.
Some of the stops along the tour are wheelchair accessible and some are not. However, anyone in a wheelchair is encouraged to come on the tour and necessary accommodations will be made. Please inform Cloud 9 Living during the booking process if anyone in your party will be in a wheelchair.
The walking on this tour will cover about 1 mile total over a couple of hours. You will walk at a very leisurely pace, stopping often and eating, so you should have no problem. While during most of the tour you will be standing, there will be some opportunities to sit for a few minutes at a few of the places that we visit.
Yes. If you enjoyed the tour, we recommend that you give the guide (and assistant if it's a larger tour) a gratuity. "I am a native New Yorker and yet I was introduced to wonderful shops I had never known existed in my city. It was a delightful and informative experience and our guide Wendy was a joy and quite knowledgeable.
"Tour was really mediocre. Tour guide didn't have much to say of interest and seemed to be going through the motions. We think a couple of things she said about the neighborhood were inaccurate. Half the stops were good...the other half not so much. We've been on other food tours that were a lot better. Definitely not worth the money."
"The actual sampling of products was much too sparse. There should be a wider selection of chocolates, aaa travel guide wines, and cheeses to taste at each stop, particularly the chocolates as these were only one from each place. If it cost more to try more then I wouldn't mind paying the extra money. With that said, I think people should know exactly what they're getting for their money and including that the sampling will be one chocolate at each place is important as well as how many stores/shops I would be visiting. "
I do think however, the title of the experience is a little misleading. It was one wine stop and then 5 dessert & chocolate places. Chocolate and desserts are heavy food items and breaking it up with another wine stop in between, would have made the experience a bit more pleasurable. Towards the end, I could barely stomach another piece of chocolate. aaa travel guide Might just be me though...
"It was overall good. There were two main issues in my opinion. Our confirmation email from NYC tours and on the cloud9 website, stated that the tour started at 2:30. We were there on time and very cold being that it is February. Our guide showed aaa travel guide up at 2:50 stating that the tour starts at 2:45 and another couple there had their confirmation starting at 3. So needless to say there was a lot of confusion and irritability with our group. The second aaa travel guide suggestion if I may, is that in the description of the tour on your website, I feel that it should state that the majority of the stops consists of standing outside on the street while the guide goes inside the venue to get the tastings. Out of 6 stops, we only went indoors aaa travel guide twice. Even in the warmer months I think it would have been nice to know this information. I felt awkward standing outside while the guide came out with cookies etc.

We learned a lot about the upper west side, and went to some really great places. We would love to get a list of all the places we visited because we will go back.
