Hello all! Let me just begin by saying THANK YOU! This forum has been a fantastic help to us in planning this trip, and so far it's been the best! I'm not sure how great I am about writing trip reports, but I hope you enjoy our story!
Flying out of CLT on USAirways and we arrived in plenty of time to get through security, etc. I'm a planner so I gave us a little extra time just in case something was to happen. Although, I didn't plan on being frisked after exiting the body scanner. flight and rental car reservations My husband says that they couldn't have picked a more innocent looking person since I never do anything bad. I even wore all cotton to the airport just for that reason. Oh well, I guess they have to pick someone, right?
We were seated in first class, and it was a nice upgrade considering this is for our anniversary. There were a few bumps along the ride because of the weather flight and rental car reservations conditions, but nothing major. The most eventful part of our trip was watching the woman in front of us down about 12 alcoholic beverages and saying silly things.
Getting through security, baggage claim, and customs in Aruba was very quick and Tropic Car Rental was waiting for us in the arrival hall. Luckily all of our luggage fit into the small Hyundai Accent and off we go to try to find Bucuti Resort.

We really rely on our TomTom, or we call her Samantha, for any and all trips that we take. We found the Bucuti easily enough with the verbal directions from the Tropic Car Rental representative. On the drive I think it hit us that we are finally here and this isn't a dream anymore. Although, it is too good to be true. It's absolutely gorgeous here!

Poor Mario...I don't think we heard one word he said after we entered the room. Both of our sights were set on the the view from the balcony and how absolutely breathtaking it was. Later that evening, we realized that we missed some key things while in our Beautiful Beach Haze like how to work the safe, how to work the bathroom TV, and things about the lights. Oh well, I think we've figured flight and rental car reservations it all out on our own.
After a quick trip to the beach for our first dip in the ocean and then a quick trip to the pool to relax on the padded loungers, we changed for a trip to Ling Sons and to find some dinner. Again, we are horrible with the directions. So after making 3 wrong turns, we finally found the grocery store and got everything we need for a few lunch items and snacks. The hubs forgot that I told him they don't use typical grocery bags here, so he really enjoyed carrying the very heavy box of groceries back up to our room.
We wanted a dinner close by and casual, so we picked Pizza Bob's. My husband says pizza is like sex - even when it's bad, it's good. So it wasn't the best pizza we've ever had, but we were very hungry and ate several pieces each. Probably not somewhere that we would visit again.
