One of our friends is a personal chef so she cooked all our meals at the house, the kitchen was well stocked and the large dining room was perfect for us all to eat together. The yard is very large and great for families (and rowdy 30 year olds), we had hoped to do smores around the outside fire pit but alas it rained on us.

What a beautiful home! My family enjoyed a winter weekend recently at Clarkefield and had a marvelous time. We went shopping, visited a couple of wineries, hiked around the property, played cards, and the "boys" had a ping pong tournament! Great location and although we had blustery cold weather, we were very comfortable in house and built a fire to toast our backsides. Our host was kind enough to accomodate our parents with a double bed on the first floor so they didn't have to climb the stairs. Did not want to leave to go back to the real world!

We rented this beautiful house for a weekend getaway. The house is spacious, comfy, and had everything we needed! The landscape is gorgeous and it is close to anything you need. We were able to make a day-trip to plenty of wonderful wineries in the area - Barboursville Winery is right down the road and a must-see.
