HIGH POINT Over 12,000 people showed up to try and meet GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running partner Congressman Paul Ryan on Sunday, as they visited North Carolina in High Point.  This was only the second day the pair had campaigned together, as Romney named Ryan as his running mate in Virginia only the day before.
After visiting Mooresville earlier in the day at an event at the NASCAR Institute, the Romney bus tour continued to High Point to a rally at the Absolute Furniture factory on Green Street near downtown.
People braved the heat, crowds, and a long wait of over two hours for a chance to meet the candidates.  Although the local party officials had given out over 10,000 tickets for the event and did not cap the total, only about 2,000 people could actually fit inside the Absolute Furniture factory building.  It was standing room only as people waited inside of the building, which was not air conditioned.
Also speaking at the event before Romney timber cruising gear and Ryan were several state GOP officials including Senator Richard Burr, Congressman Howard Coble, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, and Lt. Timothy I have video which is on YouTube and yes weekly ran the story correctly. As for secret service I was not followed out I even looked right in the face of the two standing outside and yelled Ron Paul in their faces. They didn t budge. My wife was taping the whole thing inside. Romney is Obama lite. Paul Ryan s wife was a Democratic lobbyists. How are they going to change. Anyone who is quick to jump into a undeclared war has no place to thank vets while indiscriminately putting young active duty in harms way. Which is more disrespectful?
