As for why the passengers didn t just walk off, it s a federal offense for someone to open an airpla

The story of the passengers stuck on the plane in Rochester, Minn is a revolving door in the news. It just gets played over and over and over. I am totally sympathetic to the passengers - and hold the airline (Continental Express) at fault. But, I m hearing a lot of misinformation being passed around and that can get everyone in trouble.
So far, I have neither heard from, nor heard about, anyone from Continental enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida apologizing enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida or offering compensation. I expect that has happened, however. Really, it s been over four days since the incident. Problem is - no apology will stand. No compensation will give these people back the horrible hours they were confined on that plane.
How, I ask, can this happen? HOW can any professional organization, especially a big brand that has been around for a long time, allow such a travesty? AND...why didn t the passengers just get off the plane?
The story is that passengers couldn t go into the terminal because security screeners were not working and they wouldn t be allowed back on the plane. Huh? Is that a signal to crazy people - like, you can do your thing during specific hours because security is not in the airport? I doubt it!
While airtime is proving Continental wrong in all of its assumptions and I don t believe we should hold the employees responsible (what would you do in their place?)...I do think the passengers had more power than they knew. As we wait for Kate Hanni to accomplish her goals on her Coalition for an Airline Passengers Bill of Rights at the Federal level - I believe there are things you can do.
Truth: I would be sick. I have asthma. After a short period, I would be mighty stressed and I would not be able to breathe and...if they didn t let me off the plane, well...that s a consequence that would be much worse than crying babies and stinky toilets. Truly - there is NO WAY I would stay on a plane that long. There is NO WAY I COULD stay on a plane that long. And, I have added protection enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida - I have Tom. Say what you will about them, sometimes having a lawyer along is a very good thing.
Mind you, I am not saying it s appropriate to act up unfairly. A little enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida patience goes a long way. But, after the second excuse and the second or third hour...I m not taking it any longer, and Tom is very good at letting the powers that be understand his position, first as my husband, second as a litigation lawyer.
So, when something drastic - similar to this - goes wrong in your company, are your employees empowered with the right to fix the problem? Had the attendants (and the pilot) been empowered, this incident would never have happened. They could have escorted passengers, enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida two by two, if necessary, off the plane and to a more comfortable area of the airport, and the reports enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida being shown on TV and the net would be kudos... not angry accusations.
Empower your team to handle situations to the customers best interest. The customers will love you, and any time or money lost will be recovered in the loyalty garnered by that ability to do what s right. And, it will make the employees more loyal - employees that know they can make something that s gone wrong, right... make better employees. Just ask Sybil Sterschic .
Lena, while it may be a Federal offense to open an airplane door that s not authorized ... I say, bring it on. The ensuing TV coverage will expose both the airline enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida s mistake and the Feds. Even in this day of tight Homeland Security, there are ways of making the people in charge see reason. Tom (my lawyer husband) has the solution - but, I don t want to share here.
As for why the passengers didn t just walk off, it s a federal offense for someone to open an airplane door that s not authorized enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida to so except in the event of a crash scenario. I didn t say it was RIGHT, enterprise rent a car marriott orlando florida I m just stating the law.
