Peaceful location in town on a greenbelt in the heart of historic Santa Fe's Eastside district. Large, south-facing windows look out on spectacular views of the Atalaya Mountains and open space over the Santa Fe River. Miles of hiking/biking trails just out the front door.
Convienent location to downtown Plaza, 300 fabulous restaurants, Canyon Road, Museum Hill, Randall Davey Audubon Center, and Site Santa Fe, yet very secluded from the busy tourist area. The Teseque Flea Market new york travel guide and the Opera are 15 minutes north. Ski Santa Fe is only 20 minutes up the hill.
Wonderful home - easy access to DownTown Market Square, Canyon Road gallaries, playing fields, a playground and incredible hiking new york travel guide /nature trails. I walked DT every day (earned my Mexican coffee and pastry and wondeful meals at the myriad of restuarants.) My husband and I stayed there with my sister and her husband and the home layout facilitates a great room to gather in, lovely dining area and very functional kitchen and privacy of a separate BRs on either end of the home. Only issues for improvement( need a shower curtain in the large tub/shower and wireless internet could only be accessed outside new york travel guide the house due to lack of power on interior amplifier. Then again, there are worse things in life then sitting outside on a Blue blue Santa Fe morning with a laptop and great cup of NM coffee. The host, Maxine is very accomodating and professional but inobtrusive. Highly recommend to all! Last thought - you have never seen stars at night like those in Santa Fe!
The house is well designed, beautifully new york travel guide appointed, and has a wonderful view of the mountains. The plan was so comfortable and staying there was a welcome addition to our enjoyment of all that Santa Fe and outlying areas had to offer.
Perched in a beautiful canyon, the house has a genuine Santa Fe feeling with wood-beam ceilings and a split level openness that showcases the local artwork throughout the living room and dining area. The kitchen is complete and clean with all the cooking essentials. The only items in the house needing upgrades are the mattresses in the master suite and second bedroom, which were too soft for the guests.
The house had a wonderful layout for relaxing with our family. The view was fantastic. There was easy access to hiking trails for those brave enough to face the elements. It was quiet and peaceful, especially with the snow. The proximity to downtown was convenient. It was nice being able to cook Christmas dinner, rather than trying to find a place to accomodate our varied tastes. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated being able to stay in a place that was nice and out of the hustle and bustle.
Janet and I have missed Santa Fe since the day we left. It was too perfect a vacation and the area and your house have been in our thoughts and conversations ever since. Hopefully we will be seeing you some time in 2006. Thanks again for your hospitality.
