The CFA may have a tough slog, though, as insurance companies have a compelling argument for politicians: Restricting the practice would mean constituents who are statistically proven to file less claims would be paying car rental phoenix airport for those that file more.
If you live in California, car rental phoenix airport Hawaii or Massachusetts, you have nothing to worry about, as using credit-based insurance scores is not allowed. If you're in any of the other 47 states, however, you'll likely continue to be at the mercy of your financial history.
