Three days in Walt Disney World is a bit of a whirlwind. I ve done it before been able to see and do everything I wanted, but this trip was a liiiiiiiitle bit different, because we brought our new little man along to join in on the fun. I will be recapping what it was like to travel 1) in general and 2) to Walt Disney World in a separate post I m still compiling your list of questions to answer, so if you have any other questions for me, please feel free to send along!
This post will be recapping our long weekend down in Florida I can t wait to fill you in on everything we got to see and do. If you follow me on Instagram , you may already have an idea of some of the things we did obviously we had a blast! Here s a recap of how we spent our days:
We arrived in Florida around lunchtime on Friday afternoon and I am sad to say that when we got there, it was raining. We had a three-day park hopper pass and wanted to take advantage of that so after we checked into the hotel we headed out to Magic Kingdom. We stayed at the Contemporary Resort {more on that later!} which is on the monorail line also only a short walk {10 minutes} straight to Magic Kingdom.
It was only lightly raining so we managed to get a few pictures in front of Cinderella s Castle while we could. The weather was sort of a bummer but we wanted to make the best of the situation. Brooks was in a good mood so it was nice to walk around the park and take in some of the Disney ambiance.
Since it was a rainy day there was a Rainy Day Cavalcade happening down Main Street so we got to see some of the characters come driving by. It was fun to watch Brooks calgary airport hotel watch everything that was happening around him.
We wanted to see how Brooks would hold up on the rides decided to take him on It s A Small World and he loved it! He was whipping his head back and forth watching all the colors and listening to the sounds, it was so fun to watch. Since the weather was bad we managed to get on a few other slow rides with the little guy before it was time to head back to the hotel {more on all the rides we went on in another post} It was a nice evening to start out the trip.
We woke up on Saturday morning to more rain {sad face} so we had a leisurely breakfast and decided to walk around the parks and see what we could do. We headed to Epcot since it was along the monorail line and easy for us to get to. We walked around a bit but the rain started to get worse so we ended up ducking calgary airport hotel into a building for cover luckily that building turned out to be the Epcot Character Spot where Mickey his friends hang out for photos win!
It was so fun to take Brooks pictures with some of the classic Disney characters {and even more fun that there wasn t much of a line!} I think he was really mesmerized by the big features of the characters and the bright colors he loved it and we got a few fun photos too!
We also purchased Brooks his first pair of ears obviously they were a necessity! They were they only souvenir we bought calgary airport hotel the whole trip {and they are the infant size, which apparently is still really big!}
That afternoon we attended the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at the Ft. Wilderness Lodge as a part of Charles work trip. Brooks didn t do that great with that because it was really loud so we ate drank in shifts. After that we headed back out to Magic Kingdom again to walk around for the rest of the night, since the rain stopped Brooks calgary airport hotel was in a better calgary airport hotel mood once we left the show.
Sunday was the first day with no rain in the forecast and we were pumped! We had initially planned on sticking to the parks along the monorail calgary airport hotel but after 2 days back to back in Magic Kingdom {going on a total of 3 rides} we decided to brave the bus ride to Animal Kingdom {which happens to be one of my favorite parks!}
We walked around and took in all the sights. Since it was the best weather in 2 days it was packed with people but we utilized Fast Pass and the Rider Swap option to take advantage of a ride on Everest calgary airport hotel along with a trip on the Safari.
After a quick pit stop back at the hotel for a feed and a change we decided to spend our last night in Epcot with a trip around the World Showcase. The world showcase is Charles my favorite part of Disney, we love walking around the different countries {and enjoying the variety of food drink!}
We stayed in Epcot until 8:45 when they announced the fireworks would be starting soon. Brooks was asleep in his stroller at that point and we weren t sure how he would react to the loud noise so we decided to call it a night.
All in all, despite the bad weather in the beginning calgary airport hotel of the trip, we had a blast down in Disney. I can t wait to bring Brooks back when he actually can go on some rides {and knows what is going on!} In any case, it s always fun to experience calgary airport hotel the magic of Disney through the eyes of a child!
