U2 spoke briefly about its tour plans earlier this morning, mentioning its top sponsor, RIM's BlackBerry. The new partnership between the band and RIM comes just a few years after U2 helped flog Apple's iPod digital music player through a series of television commercials, which featured the band playing its song Vertigo.
In a statement this morning, U2's manager Paul McGuinness said the band and RIM share a similar vision that will "lead to new and innovative ways to enhance the mobile music experience on the BlackBerry platform."
