Jack Morello had three hits for Notre Dame. Tom Scheper homered for St. Francis.

In the Channel League, Santa Barbara defeated Ventura, 6-2. Gabe Grandcolas struck out five and walked none. Johnny Bronstema and Jeff Paschke each had a single and double. Dos Pueblos defeated Buena, 9-0.
