Football fanatics the world over are expected to make a rush to their computers or smartphones on Tuesday after it was announced that tickets for for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil will go on sale late today (or Wednesday morning 5:30am, for those in India).
Tickets will start from $90 (INR5,725) for the first-round matches and from $440 (INR28,000) for the final at Maracana Stadium denver downtown hotels in Rio de Janeiro . The costliest ticket for the final will cost $990 (INR62,985). Tickets can only be purchased online, here.

As per the FIFA website, all applications until October 10, 2013 will enter a random selection draw if there aren't enough tickets available to fulfil all requests. From November 5 to 28, any leftover tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. A third phase will open on December 8, immediately after the World Cup draw that determines where and when each country will play, and run until January 30.
Between February 28 and April 1, a second first-come, first-serve round will open. Finally, from April 15 to July 13 there will be one final chance for fans to try online as well as over the counter in host cities in Brazil.
