Why would you do a thing like that? Take the Princess Cruise instead! Carnival is the "fun" ship. Low-key and relaxing would not be my description of a Carnival cruise although I have heard Alaskan criuse have older crowd and less party. But, why take a chance?
We've taken 2 Alaskan cruises, both on Carnival. Didn't experience the party atmosphere. It was definitely low key and relaxing. I think it's the itinerary. Most partiers cruise in the tropics, during spring break. bus tours in southern california Carnival is more budget friendly, accommodations just as good, actually roomier inside cabins. There's an onboard naturalist who announces upcoming whales, seals, otters, bus tours in southern california eagles, etc. We really liked that. We've taken one Princess cruise, and taking another in Sept. They are wonderful, but do cost more.
