In Scotland my younger brother and I were fortunate enough to play golf with a member at Muirfield.
Maybe it's because my family and I read "The Best of College Park" issue before I flew to the United Kingdom, or maybe it's because we love living in the 32804 so much that Scotland's alluring old-world charm was bound to remind the beatles classical mystery tour me of home. For whatever reasons, I found myself thinking about College Park as I spent time in London and Scotland.
In London I stayed the night at a hotel near St. Paul's Cathedral. I walked out the next morning hearing the beatles classical mystery tour the spectacular bells of the cathedral. I then saw many brightly coloured (as Londoners would write) bicyclists riding toward St. Paul's. They were checking in to receive a blessing as part of "The Lord Mayor's Summer the beatles classical mystery tour Cycle Challenge," a charity bike ride to Oxford. Seeing the camaraderie among these London bicyclists reminded me of our own College Park weekend warriors who ride in their own brightly colored jerseys, often with the same sense of purpose. One of the appealing things about seeing these citizens of London was that they were coming together with a real sense of community. This happens frequently in College Park. Whether packing food at St. Michael's Episcopal Church the beatles classical mystery tour for public elementary schools, or enjoying JazzFest or the Edgewater Homecoming Parade, the sense of community is one of the things my wife and our boys and I love about living in College Park. I imagine other College Park residents occasionally feel the same when they travel.
In Scotland my younger brother and I were fortunate enough to play golf with a member at Muirfield. While eating lunch in the clubhouse between rounds, I witnessed an enduring image: two golfers came up the 18th fairway pushing their carts— and walking their dogs! Since one was a black lab, I thought of walking our own Jedi Knight Bedell and seeing the beatles classical mystery tour other College the beatles classical mystery tour Park residents with their dogs. (Walking your dog is a great way to stay in touch with the neighborhood.) Seeing these golfers with their dogs reminded me that golf is a game to be played and enjoyed; I have the same feeling almost every time I drive by Dubsdread. If those Scottish golfers wanted to bring along their dogs, then more power to them!
We then traveled to the house near Inverness the beatles classical mystery tour where we stayed with our mother and her friends. Fortunately, one of the guests was Terry White, an excellent chef from a restaurant the beatles classical mystery tour in Tallahassee. Terry added significantly to our enjoyment of the trip. He's a personable, interesting guy who takes pride in his profession. Terry spent most mornings shopping for meats, fish and vegetables the beatles classical mystery tour for the dinners he fixed, and he commented on more than one occasion that he was impressed with the selection of fresh, locally-sourced foods, even at the large grocery store. (I had already noticed the local food movement is prevalent in Scotland.) I was not surprised to hear Terry say that College Park's own K Restaurant is one of his favorites.
