What is great about flying to the NYC area are the options; LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK) and even Newark (EWR, N.J.). You do not need to rent a car, as getting to Manhattan is simplified with a multitude of mass transit options from all three airports. Then, once you are in the city, you have one of the world s most efficient mass transit systems in existence. I still contend that NYC subway fares are one of the great bargains in life. For example, a seven (7)-day Unlimited Pass, valid for unlimited subway and local bus rides until midnight, costs $30 (reduced alamo car rental ogg airport fare $15). HOTELS  As with most major cities, be sure there aren t any major events taking place, and if you can, keep the bulk of your visit during mid-week. This will help assure better rates.
