Who is Ron White and what the heck makes him such a hilarious standup comedian? Well, just about everything. Between his cigar smoking and scotch drinking on stage; well then there is his delivery of the jokes that is added humor to it all. Ron White is flat out hilarious. Now not everyone likes him, I am sure there are people out there who don’t find him to be a real kick, but I personally do find him to be hilarious. I can hear his skits over and over, and never get sick of hearing them. Like the one about the tire falling off his van in Georgia, I can recite this word for word myself at this point. Ron White aside from being a stellar standup comedian along side Jeff Foxworthy on “Blue Collar Comedy” he also has a book that was on the New York Times Best Seller list, two Grammy nominations, travel to tahiti and new zealand a Gold Record, and three of the top rated one-hour TV specials in comedy central history; I’d say he is doing pretty darn well.
Ron White didn’t start out as a famous standup comedian; he did his time at the bottom just like everyone else who has made it. Ron spent two decades bouncing from one gig to the next in a beat up Nissan pickup. What was Ron’s big break? The Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He toured with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Bill Engvall. After they finished touring 90 cities and bringing in $15 million Ron White had made it big as a standup comedian. The tour was taped and the movie became the highest rated movie in Comedy Central’s History.
