The continued viability of the hotel is uncertain if Atmosphere does not operate the hotel with a liquor license and, if the hotel fails, the damage to both parties will be incalculable, Lawson said. ... Regardless of who ultimately prevails, it is in both parties best interest to preserve the viability of the hotel during the pendency of the litigation." Atmosphere Hospitality s attorneys had argued that not allowing the company to continue to manage the hotel would not only cause the company harm but also irreparable injury to the city of Dearborn, local unions, hotel employees, hotel guests and vendors. In a motion filed Friday, Atmosphere said that without the ability to serve alcohol at the hotel, Air France , a longtime customer, was threatening to cancel its meetings contract with the hotel, which would result in the loss of $1 million or more in business each year for whoever owned and managed the hotel.
