1. Be aware that cleanliness of public and building toilet facilities at museums, airports, and other public spaces is very different from what we are used to in America. Russia was having a heat wave and nearly even museum and public building including the Ballet I visited was NOT air conditioned. When I go again I will be very careful of the time of year I travel. Even motor coaches hired by the tour group did not have COLD air coming out of the vents, but rather hot air. If you are sensitive to the heat don t travel in the summer to prevent problems.
3. Elderly travelers, be aware that there are no handrails and few elevators in public spaces and museums. discount las vegas hotels If you need to hold on or cannot easily navigate stairs the truth is Russia is just not for you.
