Renting from Vamos was very easy. It was our first time in Costa Rica. When we exited the airport, our driver was waiting for us - which, once you experience the crowds around the arrivals airline schedules and fares door, you'll realize is quite a relief. He took us to our rental car and drove us to the rental office airline schedules and fares just outside the airport. The staff were very helpful and friendly, explaining all of the pertinent details and even giving us a good bargain on a GPS rental. (The fact that tires are not covered by the insurance is an inconvenient airline schedules and fares but necessary airline schedules and fares fact. Costa Rican roads are iffy at best, and insurance prices airline schedules and fares would be through the roof if they had to cover tires.) We had some trouble with the AC halfway through our trip, as it stopped blowing cold air. Our "Jimny" vehicle had numerous scratches and small dents, which was perfect for us. It was a big relief not having to worry about minor damage to the car in such an unforgiving environment. Overall, we were very pleased with our rental. We were even refunded one day's rental when we brought the car back early. For a nominal fee, we had a guided driving tour of the capital city. Great customer service, great value, and all-around professional attitude make Vamos a good choice for any visitor.

We are considering offering a tire coverage rider as a part of our insurance -- to minimize any costs that a renter may experience in case a tire fails due to poor road conditions. Everyone on the Vamos team in your San Jose office was absolutely wonderful to work with! :) Tiziana, (who took my initial reservation) provided excellent customer service and was incredibly helpful, friendly and very responsive via email as we adjusted some details in my reservation. On a few occasions airline schedules and fares where Tiziana was off schedule, Max was also excellent about answering a few of my questions or requests. Alex, who delivered the car to my hotel, was impressively professional as we handled all of the paperwork, in addition to being incredibly patient and helpful as he helped me figure out how to get my GPS to work properly. In summary, I believe you have some very dedicated staff members, and the excellent customer service I received is what will make me choose Vamos for all of my future car rentals in Costa Rica! :)   The only minor thing I had some challenges with was the cellphone I rented for use while in CR. The phone would seem to shut itself airline schedules and fares off at random, and I could never get the code to check my voicemail to work properly. While in Costa Rica we went and saw some great things, it is a beautiful, clean country. After driving the roads around Mt Verde I do understand why it costs so much to rent a car!! This SUV ran very well even though it could use new tires and new shocks. It got good fuel mileage also.
