Greinke is just 29 years old and has already been in the league nine seasons. He has a career record

After being all but out of the negotiations with Zack Greinke , the Dodgers suddenly became the favorites again to sign the young righty. Yesterday, it was reported that Greinke and the Dodgers were close to a multi-year deal. Later in the day, the deal became all but official.
By the end of the day, the deal had been finalized, and Greinke will make $147 million over six years says Mark Townsend of Yahoo! golf bag covers for travel Sports . With the signing, the Dodgers instantly have one of the best rotations in baseball. With Clayton Kershaw , and with the trade to bring Josh Beckett to the team, the Dodgers will have a front three starting rotation that could rival almost any team out there.
The Greinke signing also takes some pressure off Kershaw to be the ace. Kershaw did not take much time to rest a hip impingement that was causing him pain toward the end of this past season . There were concerns that he would have to undergo surgery, but as soon as doctors said that wasn't necessary, Kershaw returned and pitched through the pain. He may not feel the weight of having to rush back to the rotation in the future knowing the team has another ace in Greinke.
Greinke is just 29 years old and has already been in the league nine seasons. He has a career record of 91-78. He also has a career ERA of 3.77. Greinke won the 2009 American League Cy Young award after going 16-8 with a 2.16 ERA with the Kansas City Royals.
