Most of the historic New York Hotel in Ketchikan has been a hotel since it was built in 1925. Of course, when it was first opened, the hotel had 18 rooms and only one bathroom. It wasn't as big a problem as you might think since guests could only use the one giant claw-footed tub on Saturdays!
