As less experienced Anguilla travellers, we believed that flying direct to the Anguilla airport was the wisest way to get to Anguilla. Somehow, cheap travel to australia Montreal-JFK, JFK-San Juan, San Juan-Anguilla was the most appealing cheap travel to australia route down.
Note: If you leave Anguilla via the public Anguilla ferry, the cost of departure is $20. It is only $5 if you're traveling cheap travel to australia to St. Martin for a day trip, but if you are "permanently" leaving the island, it is $20.
While the ferry from Marigot is public and runs on a pre-set schedule, charters from St. Maarten must be pre-booked. You can book the entire boat for yourself, cheap travel to australia but it's expensive ($400+). The advantage is that you "own" the boat. The time is set. If you are delayed, it waits. You also get to enjoy a Carib (or two) on the way over!
Anguilla's new "Sea Shuttle" is the last charter to St. Maarten. cheap travel to australia It leaves Anguilla cheap travel to australia at 9:30pm. The last boat from St. Maarten to Anguilla leaves at 10:30pm. Both of these two late night boats go through Anguilla's new ferry terminal in St. Maarten. You can see its approximate location on the map below...
This new 10:30pm boat is perfect for travelers arriving on the American flight out of Miami that lands at 9:55pm. If you're on that flight and book the new Sea Shuttle, you will be met at the airport and brought from the airport to the dock.
Note: If you're making your own way to the dock, please note that travelers cheap travel to australia who have done so have reported that when they first arrived at the terminal it was completely empty. Feeling a bit deserted, they weren't sure if the boats would arrive. The boats did arrive on time. So, do not worry if this happens to you. The scheduled boats will show up.
The 7:15am shuttle to St. Maarten is extremely useful. Most of Anguilla's charters and the Anguilla ferry don't leave early enough to catch morning flights out of St. Maarten. We used to have to stay overnight in St. Maarten the night before in order to catch early morning flights, but now we can take the shuttle.
We often fly to St. Maarten without booking. When we arrive, we look for one of the boat reps and ask how soon they leave for Anguilla. If we don't see one (or if no boat leaves for an hour or more), we catch a cab to Marigot cheap travel to australia for the public ferry.
Somedays Yuki and her schoolmates got off the boat looking pretty green, but that was only on particularly stormy, rough-sea afternoons. The Link is large enough cheap travel to australia to deliver a smooth ride to St. Maarten's Dutch side.
Coming home to Anguilla was just as easy... Upon exiting the airport, a kind man was waiting to bring us back to Simpson Bay's police station. Sylvester and Darren from The Link were there to take us home!
Garfield offers an excellent Anguilla boat tour service. You can do a Caribbean charter to any Anguilla off-island, to St. Barts, and St. Maarten. They do not offer a scheduled water taxi service to and from St. Maarten's airport, but you can arrange for a private charter.
We had a wonderful, entire, 'round the island boat tour trip with the brothers. They also used to run an Anguilla (water) taxi service. Sea Grape is now out of the water, but we hope to see Shaun back in the sea soon!
