This is a beautiful house in a great location - the interior is spacious and well decorated, and it's right on the lake. The only downside is the huge list of rules that the owner provides (literally dozens of them) that stopped us from feeling totally comfortable and at home. Still, overall it's a lovely place to spend a weekend.
Our family (6 adults and one toddler) had a lovely time at the house. It is well preserved and reminiscent of an earlier, more gracious decade--the 20's. The house is well-equipped, was spotlessly clean and had a porch that was extraordinary--we ate all of our meals there. An excellent spot for a family to spend lazy days together.
hamton inn My girlfriend and I stayed at the cottage right next to this property which was owned by the same owner as this listed property. We were looking for a place to spend a relaxing weekend away from the city and this place was perfect. Quiet, beautiful surroundings. Another bonus is that the neighbors (only like 3 or 4 houses on your side of the lake) were extremely nice & friendly. One gentleman hamton inn has a BBQ at his place and invited us to come down. As you can tell, I loved the area, the house, the people, everything. You would be hard pressed to not have a good time.
