All but seven counties in Indiana is under a travel advisory, watch or warning because of yesterday s snowfall and subzero temperatures. Nathan Riggs with the Indiana Department of Transportation says many road conditions are hazardous, which is why the advisory is in place.
The following counties are under travel watches. The Indiana Department of Homeland Security says a watch means conditions are threatening to the safety of the public and during a watch , only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.
The following counties are in travel advisories , the lowest level of local travel advisory that says routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
