My husband and I attended treasure island hotel casino las vegas a presentation which we expected to get a high pressured sales pitch to join a travel club. They offered 2 free airline tickets with AA and 3 free nights lodging with Marriott chain. We spent a good deal of time waiting for the program to begin. They had many people standing around waiting to talk to the three couples attending. In the end the presenter did not show and they just handed out the certificates which required treasure island hotel casino las vegas $50 for the hotel and $70 for the airlines, to activate the account. Another refundable $50 deposit for the hotel reservation. Oh, they also offered 50 percent off car rental and $100 certificate for gasoline.
Definitely sounds too good to be real. Haven t been able to find anything about this particular company but I don t think I will be responding. I probably treasure island hotel casino las vegas already gave them too much info such as my email address. Nothing more.
NETRATE CONCEPTS: I had a similar experience to you, Kathy. I, however, was not required to purchase anything for my two tickets. They specified there were only 30 places you could use the airline tickets, not that I could go anywhere I wanted. I went to the presentation and they gave me the tickets without me having to give an answer about the membership. Looking at the tips Charles Woods gave, none of those applied! My husband and I still have not purchased the membership but used the plane tickets to CT and stayed at the Hilton so far so good. Also, we kept in touch with another couple at the presentation who purchased treasure island hotel casino las vegas the membership then and there and they told me they have received discounts on all their travel treasure island hotel casino las vegas expenses! Also, this particular company has good reviews and personal contacts. Maybe this is not even the same kind of company Charles is talking about! No strings for us!
I received a post card this week (end of October, 2013), and not only did it tell me I would receive the 2 round-trip airfares and 2 nights in a hotel, it also said it included a free dinner certificate to the Essex Spa, and had the logo of the Essex, culinary resort and spa, in Vermont, which further legitimized it at first glance. I did call the number, and it is no longer in service, which prompted me to go on-line. Phone number on card: 1-888-215-3143, Promo Code: EVT 2810. the card was mailed from Zip Code 32216, Jacksonville, FL. This scam is still alive and well.
Regarding Oracle Travel promotions ..BIG BIG SCAM!! They need to be stopped. Nothing is true about the free stuff. treasure island hotel casino las vegas They got us for the $120 by requesting more information after sending in the $120 with a time limit that had already expired!!!! I tried to call several times to cancel and was either put on hold, or hung up on. Very rude supervisor talked to me today. I would be happy to submit my documents on behalf of a class action suite if anyone is interested.
Just glad i checked on here today. My wife and i were supposed to go today for the seminar. We got the same postcard but ours was from United. Thanks for the heads up. We were to go to the Plattsburgh NY Holiday Inn. Wont be going to that!
My husband received one today, May 6 from United. It says he will receive 2 round trip airfares to MOST major airports in the continental US. And if he calls within 48 hours, will receive a bonus of 3 day 2 night hotel stay. It says that this is not a timeshare or land sale offer and has a promo code. It was sent by presorted first class post card from Tampa Florida. We will not be calling treasure island hotel casino las vegas to collect it.
Received almost the same post card, this time with the Travelocity logo. Offers 2 free round trip tickets on Southwest, Jet Blue, United or a comparable airline , plus a 3-day, 2- night weekend at a hotel such as Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton. In fine print at the bottom, it mentions that restrictions apply and finally treasure island hotel casino las vegas this, This promotion not sponsored by Southwest, Jet Blue, United, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt or Travelocity. treasure island hotel casino las vegas Posted from West Palm Beach. treasure island hotel casino las vegas FL.
Received the Travelocity post card, called them at the number given and of course, I couldn t get anything from them in writing. Did an Internet treasure island hotel casino las vegas search and found this site. It s clearly a scam. At the very least, they are phishing for personal info. At the most, they are fraudulently obtaining money for a service or product that they don t provide. I don t understand why these operations can t be shut down more quickly treasure island hotel casino las vegas than they are.
Also received a flyer from US Airlines for two free plane tickets treasure island hotel casino las vegas plus 3 free nights a hotel for coming to a meeting. I called to check it out. was asked a bunch of questions. I gave them a false email and phone number and will not go .The company said it was from Worldwide Travel of Cleveland operating treasure island hotel casino las vegas out of the Sheraton at the airport..
We did and it is a big scam and rip off. Trying to get my $120 back, don t do any business with them or their affiliates. If they ever come near our area again, I will walk in and warn everyone there not to get involved.
I recently received a postcard in the mail with the American Airlines logo and Fly Away Promotion same deal offer as the previous comments. I was suspicious it was a fraud since it didn t contain my frequent flier number in the address. I m glad I searched the web and read these posts. I do hope the people doing this are caught and punished.
Oracle Travel Promotions is definitely treasure island hotel casino las vegas a scam. They got us for $120. They promise airline tickets and hotel stays but only lure you along making more and more rediculous restrictions on your reservation times until it is completely un-doable. They will not refund your money, making some phony claim on restrictions. Run! Don t do it!
Received a postcard that claims to be a Travelocity hotel gift card on may 23, 13. Disclaimer on the card says the promotion is not sponsored by any entity noted on the card, including Travelocity. Lots of stuff on this card tells one that it is fake tried contacting you several times must be claimed 7 days after postmark (of which there is none on the card) bulk rate mailing. Good for the USPS to get some business, but this can t be legal.
My husband and I went to the sales pitch, but for some reason they did not have enough personal to do the presentation, so they handed us our free vouchers to get our free airline tickets and hotel stay. Just seemed to good to be true, so I checked here and found that it is a scam. Thank you for posting these reviews, and I am also glad that I did not send my $120.00.
Yesterday my wife received in the mail a check for $1350 for US Airlines with an accompanying letterexactly as some of the above comments. Curiosity made me call the number 1-866-918-4886 and I spoke with a person treasure island hotel casino las vegas who explained that if we attended a presentation in Mansfield, MA we would receive these two tickets to anywhere in the continental US. ? The address for this presentation was 800 South Main St. Suite 03ll in Mansfield, MA 02048. I said we would attend(NOT) on June 8th at 10:00 a.m.I am sorry I gave out our e-mail but glad I checked with the BBB. Perhaps these shemers can be put to justice. Thanks for the alert.
Last fall I received a postcard that indicated I had won a free trip for two anywhere in the continental US if my wife and I attended a 90-minute (no pressured) presentation in a local hotel. Unfortunately, we did attend but did not commit treasure island hotel casino las vegas to their resort plan. In order to get the free airline tickets plus a two-night stay in a hotel anywhere in the continental US we had to send in an activation fee, followed by a registration fee. Stupid us,
