We've just booked part of our family holiday to America. We are arriving in LA, then going to New York and then onto Florida. We have decided that from Florida we would like to drive over to Las Vegas and onto Los Angeles for our return trip to Australia.
Is there a reason rental car discount codes you want to stay five days in Vegas? Are you big time gamblers? If not, couple of days is enough to see Las Vegas -- especially w/ children. But taking a couple of days to drive to the Grand Canyon and another rental car discount codes couple rental car discount codes of days for Zion - that would be good.
Las Vegas is NOT a great place for kids - limited amount to do and obviously can't enter the casinos at all - think they will be really bored. Unless you are heavy duty gamblers think a day or 2 on LV is more than enough - better to have a look at the Grand Canyon.
This is a looooong drive and by breaking it into short distances you will not only get to see some interesting places, you will be relieved of not having to drive all day/night to get to the next destination.
You should fly into LA and spend a few days there... Then rent a car and take a ride to Vegas, and explore Arizona and the Southwestern US...return the car to LA.... Then fly to NY.... Then Florida... Then back to LA... Renting a car in Florida plus drop off, tolls, gas, and overnight stays just to drive all the way to LA is expensive and a waste of time... The six days of driving time is much better spent in LA, NY, Florida, rental car discount codes and Vegas.... Have fun...
There are fairly inexpensive flights from Orlando to Denver (Southwest $185, Frontier $145, etc.). You could enjoy the Colorado Mountains in the glorious fall and save those days cooped up in a car. You can get flights from Denver to Las Vegas for less than $100, perhaps then rent a vehicle rental car discount codes and visit Utah, Grand Canyon, rental car discount codes etc., maybe back to LA via some National Parks, etc., instead of 5 full days in Vegas (believe me, that will get old fast).
If not, they are planning two weeks minus 5 days in Vegas and one departure day in LA so they only have 8 days to get to LV. If they do want to spend extra time in LA -- then they only have maybe 5 days for the X country trip.
Just to clarify - we are flying into LA (4 nights), flying to NY (6 nights) , then onto Florida (14 nights). We have decided to drive as we enjoy driving and the big focus on Vegas is not for gambling but for boxing - the 2 teenagers are State National champions and have the opportunity to train in a couple of gyms there including Floyd Mayweather's gym. We will probably stay in LA again on the way back for 2 nights rental car discount codes max.
I am from Florida and have gone across country several times. I think all of the cities everyone rental car discount codes has mentioned are great destinations...but the countryside rental car discount codes you see going the direct route seriously lacks. Spending hours looking at the flat lands (even if broken up into many days) gets old. It all really looks the same across I-10. Just trees until you get towards Texas, and then dirt the rest of the way.
I'd opt for 3oo more miles and about 4 more hours. I'd go up through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, St. Louis, Denver, Grand Junction, St. George and Las Vegas to Los Angeles. You have fun cities to sightsee in and a variety of changing landscapes. Mountains, farmland, red rock canyons, and desert. It won't be prime orange leaf color in Tennessee but the yellow aspens across Colorado will be pretty.
