Roosevelet tramway - How about discovering New York in a complete different way? May we suggest you the Roosevelt Island Tramway, a one of a kind transportation! It's located about 76 meters away from the East River and has an amazing view of/ on Manhattan. It's actually cheaper than the helicopter tour and an even better way to visit the Big Apple, rather than taking the Touristic bus. Created in 1976, it does approximately 115 trips a day, and had more than 26 million of travelers ever since it was open.
Its departure is at Tramplaza, right by the corner of 59th street and 2 nd avenue. The Roosevelt Island Tramway passes by the East River, the Queensboro Bridge – Once on the island; you will find buses for 25 cents the ride for you to visit the island.
