It's no secret that travelers to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California have dozens of choices when it comes to accommodations. It can be overwhelming when you see the long list of "Good Neighbor Hotels" and other motels/hotels which surround the resort area. And for those used to traveling to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, it can be daunting to think of staying "off-property" and not at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
After a lot of research and talking with friends familiar with Disneyland, I decided to check out the Red Lion Hotel Anaheim . The Red Lion Hotels chain is known for its service, welcoming accommodations and fantastic military cheap rental cars at lax appreciation specials .
The Red Lion Anaheim is located on Harbor Boulevard, just down the street from the gates of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Guests can grab the Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle right outside of the hotel lobby for quick access to all Anaheim has to offer. I was able to walk to/from Disneyland Resort quickly: from the park gates to my hotel room in less than twenty minutes. I felt completely safe walking to the hotel, even at night. The rooms at the Red Lion Anaheim are well-appointed and suited for both the business traveler and tourists alike. My room was located on the 8th floor and considered a Disneyland Premium Fireworks View. It contained two queen beds, large desk, ample clothing storage, closet, large bathroom small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Wireless and hard-wired internet are available. I never had issues connecting and it seemed quite fast.
