Driven a stock form Allroad Quattro along the Mediterranean coast for long distances. It was quite fast and comfortable at speed. The stock brakes, drive train, suspension seems to be a good comprise between a sports and family car.

Here you have one of the best tunable Audi engines offered in the US- it s the same 2.7tt as offered in the B5 S4 (200-2001.5), which was similar to the one used in the RS4 of the same period. So you can bolt on a few factory parts and get to 450 crank hp. Then consider that it s a great platform for tuning, and you could get much more out of it if you wanted to be aggressive.

The early TTs had a few well-publicized high speed or sudden lane change accidents. I owned and enjoyed Rowdy , an 02 allroad chipped to 317 hp, giving it the grunt that I felt it needed. This was on a stock internals, never opened engine with 168,000 miles. The K04 turbos and software were done when the warranty expired. Put another way, the 2.7 can make 445 awhp for 120,000 miles. AFAIK that example is still out there boosting madly at 200,000 plus miles.
