This Victorian Masterpiece is the benchmark for luxury and service. Like its sister Hotel 41 the Milestone is part of the Red Carnation hotel group owned by Bea Tollman. Bea has been in the hotel business since she married her husband when she was in her twenties. Now in her 70's, Bea has built a small hotel empire with around 15 hotels in England and around the world. The service at the Milestone was fantastic. Not quite has incredible as Hotel 41 but surely tops in the business. The hotel is located directly across from Kensington Palace and is at the entry to a chic shopping district. They had jars of candy throughout the room and each evening a different snack with water was placed in the room. My girls fell in love with the apples and caramel snack. When another dish was placed in the room the next night, they called the front desk and asked to have the apples again.
