For spring break, my family apartment rentals california decided to head to the  Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon, Colorado. We chose to fly into Denver and then rent a car and drive up to Beaver Creek, which takes just over two hours. On our drive up it was snowing pretty heavily, so I d definitely recommend renting a four-wheel-drive apartment rentals california vehicle or an SUV just so you don t get stuck out there.
The other option would have been to fly directly into the Eagle County Airport which is about 30 minutes from the hotel. Seasonally this is served by Delta from Atlanta and Minneapolis, American from Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New York-JFK, and United from Denver, Houston and Newark. There is year round service from Denver on United Express. We opted to fly into Denver, since the flights were much cheaper.
We had originally booked a traditional king room and were able to take advantage of the old pricing of SPG s Cash and Points apartment rentals california rate of $90 + 4,800 points since this is a category 5 property. The new pricing for cash and points here is $110 + 6,000 points. The cheapest rates at this time were $419 per night, so I was able to get a 6.85 cents per point value for my SPG points.
We arrived to the hotel in the afternoon, apartment rentals california and as SPG Platinum members were upgraded to a river and mountain view one-bedroom residential suite at check-in. These were running for $789 a night during this time, so we lucked out when the front desk agent gave us one of these. The hotel does charge a $20 resort fee for internet and access to the Riverfront health club and pool areas, which is not waived for SPG Platinum members.
Most of the units at the property are privately owned and then placed back into the rental pool to be rented out. That was the case with our suite, since it had some locked closets where the owners could keep their belongings. The suite was very comfortable and featured a gas fireplace, two couches (one which was a pull-out sofa), a full kitchen, two plasma TV s (one in the living room and one in the bedroom), washer and dryer, and an iPod docking station.
Another nice feature is the hotel has its own ski valet on site, so you can come down in the morning and put your ski boots on, and then head directly onto the gondola up to Beaver Creek Landing where you can buy lift tickets. After skiing every night, there was live music in the lobby and they had fresh chocolate chip cookies. The hotel had a large gym known as the Riverfront Club which a lot of local residents are members of, and the three infinity edge hot tubs located on the pool deck were also a popular scene after skiing apartment rentals california each day.
The hotel s main restaurant is Cima and features Latin American cuisine. Some locals I met told me this restaurant is constantly changing and to expect a new concept this summer. Breakfast is served in the Lift Cafe, which overlooks the gondola. The SPG Platinum breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, and pastries for two. Located on the ground floor, the hotel s Spa Anjali offers 14 treatment rooms, a sauna/steam room and changing areas.
While this hotel isn t ski-in/ski-out, since you do have to take the gondola up to Beaver Creek Landing before you can hit the slopes, it is still pretty convenient. The skiing conditions this time of the year were typical of spring skiing, but I found the snow to be better the higher up on the mountain I went. For those looking to head over to Vail, there is a public bus that runs between Beaver Creek and Vail for $5 each way. Other ski in-ski out resorts at Beaver Creek to consider are the  Park Hyatt Beaver Creek  and the Ritz- Carlton Bachelor Gulch .

I stayed here the first week in April. Here is my tip: the Lift Cafe shares the same kitchen with the more expensive Cima. The short rib is amazing and is $38 at Cima but only $24 at The Lift Cafe (same dish at both restaurants). The Lift Cafe seems more laid back and suitable apartment rentals california for families with kids.
