Friday-Sunday . The Northglenn Youth Theatre presents a tale of forbidden love in their production of Broadway hit “Aida.” Featuring actors ages 8 to 18, the musical tells the story of Aida, an enslaved Nubian princess, and Radames, an Egyptian single travel packages soldier. Despite the dangers, the two become devoted single travel packages to each other and help usher in peace between their nations. There’s murder and mystery afoot when the Colorado Springs Philharmonic presents Lemony Snicket’s “The Composer is Dead.” With text by Snicket, the show introduces kids to the different single travel packages sections and instruments of the orchestra as they try to figure out who bumped off a composer. The concert also includes performances of Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance No. 8 and the overture to Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro.” Arrive early for special preconcert activities, too.
