Gruff Rhys is to launch his new LP ‘Hotel Shampoo’ by taking over The Gresham Hotel in Blackpool on 13 Feb. It was opened in 1988 by the most successful Welsh language pop duo of all time, Tony ac Aloma.  Having sold tens of thousands of records in the 1960s the pair fled Wales to avoid the pressures of fame and set up The Gresham as a venue where they could play in perpetuity, welcome fans and invite other popular Welsh acts to perform.
