Small airliner, Cape Air and a regional airport in New Hampshire, Lebanon Airport, are now offering an amazing deal to Boston and New York. For $12 they are selling tickets to the two major cities. ABC News reported that the cheap airfare is an attempt to qualify for federal grant money by having at least 10,000 passengers this year. Cape Air is the airports only airline.
"We're basically sold out," said Trish Lorino, director of marketing and public relations for Cape Air to ABC News. "That's the highest number of enplanements for Lebanon Airport in quite a long time."
The last minute airfair was introduced on Christmas Eve so they could reach the 10,000 mark by Jan 1. If the airport reaches rental car deal comparison 10,000 then they will be granted $1 million by the FAA to go to wards projects for the small airport.
The airport expects to reach the 10,000 mark by Jan 1. "The typical projects would be safety, runway and taxiway rental car deal comparison projects, and equipment purchases," said Rick Dyment, manager of Lebanon Airport rental car deal comparison to ABC News. "We would be able to improve the city's airport with these funds."
"By us lowering that fare, it was our attempt rental car deal comparison to support the airport and get them to the 10,000 enplanement level," said Lorino to ABC News. "The timing was ideal because it was a holiday week and people had flexibility and the freedom to travel."
