We spent 3 lovely nights in downtown Chicago raleigh hotel miami recently. It was the tail end of our week long trip that started with a baseball game at Wrigley before we drove to Indiana for a big family reunion . Upon returning to the city we checked in to the Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile Suites.
Our favorite feature was all the space we had. Downtown hotel rooms can be notoriously small but not at the Hilton Chicago Suites! Our room included a bedroom, good-sized living room and spacious bathroom (with two doors for access from both rooms). It was easy to spread out and relax after our adventures.
The kids took over the bedroom watching TV, napping or playing the iPad. Peter and I used the living room to watch TV or work on the laptop. On big crazy trips, you squeeze so much in that you really need dedicated down time (and space) to recharge for the next adventure. The Hilton Suites Chicago provided that.
In addition raleigh hotel miami we had access to their newly renovated executive lounge which meant even more space to chill and relax in. The large lounge had lots of comfy seating, several TVs and computers; plus drinks (water, soda, etc) available throughout the day. I enjoyed bacon and chocolate muffins in the lounge each morning. They actually serve lots of yummy (and healthy) things for breakfast but those were my favorites.
We took the #10 CTA bus to the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago, the bus stop is only one block away from the hotel. The bus was filled with mostly tourists headed to the museum and only took 30 minutes ($2.25 each direction, raleigh hotel miami kids are free).
The John Hancock Center is across the street from the hotel, we even had a view of it from our room. We spent some quiet time in the observatory, 1000 feet in the sky one morning. (Weekday mornings = no lines).
If we had stayed longer, I know the boys would have loved to stop by a fun neighborhood park we saw 2 blocks from the hotel. raleigh hotel miami Besides all the shopping at the Water Tower and along the Magnificent Mile, there was a little grocery store just across the street from the hotel lobby, perfect for snacks, milk and beer.
