Each dollar spent on airfare can earn up to 30 points depending on class of service and whether it’s a hub or non-hub ticket, partner and codeshare flights are included. The points can be redeemed for tickets on Delta or their partners, upgrades, lounge passes/annual membership, elite status and drink/headset coupons. Once again, travelers keep their frequent flier miles. You can earn your first 2,000 SkyBonus points by taking the short tutorials on their web site. Redemption example: hertz rent a car Five Delta Club day passes are 60,000 points.
The United PerksPlus hertz rent a car agreement states that a company must have five employees to participate hertz rent a car in their program, however hertz rent a car I do know people who participate who have less. Their point earning structure also rewards higher fare classes and non-hub tickets. Their rewards are similar to the other programs in that you can redeem points for tickets, lounge passes/annual membership, elite status, and headset/drink coupons. Redemption example: 10,000 points gets you 20 headset/drink coupons.
Keep in mind that since the point earning structures differ tremendously between programs, so do the award redemption charts. If you do join any of these programs and accumulate enough points, you can actually buy Elite Status. For example, AA offers Gold Elite status hertz rent a car for 2,400 points. While top tier elite status levels are not available with points, Silver and/or Gold levels are available depending on the program. None of the three programs are open to companies who have negotiated fare contracts with the sponsoring airline or participate in other discount programs.
