To cap off the everglades adventure, the entire boat had a run-in with "Scarface," a 12 foot alligat
Traversing the everglades is a daunting task. Everywhere rental car specials you turn danger looms… in the form of poisonous snakes, deadly spiders, and of course the occasional 13 foot alligator! Luckily, when Legal Communications Group hosted an Everglades Airboat tour as part of our annual company retreat, everyone ended the day with all of their fingers and toes… and a new appreciation for natures majesty.
During the tour we learned how the Native Americans that used to inhabit the everglades would use every part of the landscape to survive; reeds were turned into naturally antiseptic bandages, and even alligator jaws were used as knives and multi-tools
Midway through the trip our tour guide Ozzy (a native Floridian and wilderness enthusiast) brought us to a secluded spot of brush where he proceeded to make several rental car specials strange bird calls. Almost immediately his calls were answered by two native Purple Gallinule, a beautiful purple rental car specials and blue waterfowl. The entire Legal Communications team, along with David Daggett of Daggett Shuler, got a chance to feed the birds, who happily carried their treats away to their hungry chicks.
To cap off the everglades adventure, rental car specials the entire boat had a run-in with “Scarface,” a 12 foot alligator who was not very happy that we were traipsing about on his territory. He let out a few hisses and the entire team got a nice jump to their nervous systems as he thrashed around in the water near side of the boat.
