Back from a 1000 mile plus trip pulling my trailer to the Dearborn area and back. One leg of the trip was 350 miles with the 11B23 flash, I would say that I wasnt getting as good as MPG as I use to and my boost seem higher and I was getting a whole bunch of different Regen messages.
About 500 miles into the trip my cruise control started working intermittently, but other then that my truck seem to run the same. Since our group was going to meet up with another group near Gaylord for a few days, I called Robbie at Gaylord Ford and told him that it was his favourite Canadian and was sorry to say that I was calling him from my friends GMC Onstar and he said that he would glad to help me out.
Within a few hours they talked to Ford on the phone and they re-flashed my PCM with the 11B25 flash which he said was two after my 11B23 and performed an Electronic Engine Control Test before and after the flash. And also showed me all the test print outs. I have to put on more miles before I can tell if it was good or bad.
Don t have the work order paper with me right now, but I asked about the 11B24 and they told me that Ford told them to flash my truck with the 11B25. The TSB was TSB 05-07-11 and I asked the service manager isn t that the date before 11B23 and they said that 11B25 was two after 11B23. I don t know if it is all smoke and mirrors, I pulled my trailer for 180 miles after the flash in good head winds at 65mph and stayed las vegas hotels deals above 10MPG, I didn t get that going down with a tail wind?????? But I still think that my truck is detuned from the flash before 11B23!

I had to firmly request the update to 11B23 (see other threads) to finally get it installed on my 2010 KR, but I never once heard it called 11B25, only TSB 05-07-11 . Seems like 05-07-11 might be a date as that's about the time they released the update, and 11B25 might be the number one would get if the updates were sequentially numbered.

All I know is what they said and what is written on my customer work order that I question about. I did ask them if they can confirm if there is a new flash out with Ford and they said that they would call Ford. I did look at the test print out and papers the dealer had and it did say 11B25 and I asked them if it was a typo, and the dealer said that the person they talked to at Ford told them to flash with 11B25 and not 11B24. Below is what is written on my copy.
CORRECTION: Preformed Electronic engine control test and retrieved P1408, referenced TSB 11-05-07 (11B25) applies reflashed PCM, to new calibration. Tested fuel economy on road test (14.3MPG). Retested, all pass.
That said, I left the dealer with my MPG reset and drove 30 miles back to where I was camping and set the cruise control at over 75MPH and was getting 15.9mpg on the display. When I left the camp ground to head home with a GCWR around 22,000 pounds, the coolant temperature gauge was half way to running temperature the display flashed Cleaning Exhaust Filter and lasted 10 miles at 65mph. I drove 130 miles at 65mph into a head wind till our first rest stop, at that time my GPS recorded a total ascent of just over 2,000 feet, my display showed 10.4MPG and my truck ran fine. Ive taken this trip several times and last month with the 11B23 flash and no head wind I couldnt get over 10 mpg and the boost was always twice as much and always over 10psi. So I cant not help to think that I have a different version of flash, If it wasnt for my cruise control problem, I couldnt get other dealers to even look at the PCM without showing a code. Im not an expert, but I believe that I have learned too much from this forum and that I know when my truck could run better. It is frustrating to have to play games to get it to run that way. So there might not be a Recall, but doesnt mean that there isnt a better flash out or is there ???????????

Similar to my experiences with both 11B23 and the update las vegas hotels deals for it. One of my pet theories las vegas hotels deals is that each new update las vegas hotels deals forces a DPF clean almost immediately so that the DPF system update starts with a clean slate .
The dealers don't want to do anything unless Ford (or the customer) absolutely will pay for it (naturally). IMO, Ford doesn't want more warranty expense other than the minimum it can get away with (the accountants [not PR ] run the show nowadays). We bear that tension. At least all our friends (peer group) here in the forum really help by pooling experience and knwoledge. I don't know where I'd be without this forum!

I got the letter about the 11B23, I take it in and get the new flash. First trip (Memorial day weekend) up over a pass with a total climb of about 3,700 feet. My truck tells me to drive to clean exhaust filter , I was doing 60mph towing my trailer on pretty flat ground. Finally it displays cleaning exhaust filter las vegas hotels deals , while I'm towing about 9K up the steepest longest part of the climb. All of a sudden my truck goes into limp mode. No lights, messages, etc. So I pull over wait for it to come out of limp mode. Start climbing and back into regen it goes, I made it to my destination without going into limp mode again. I came home, went to the dealer and I get a new flash, tell me it's ok now.
Over the fourth weekend same pass, same weight, I'm pulled over again about 2-3 miles below where I was last time. Wasn't in regen, all my temps were good, went through the messages las vegas hotels deals on the dash and nothing. No lights, messages, etc. I take it back to my dealer, and I get another new flash. They told me that the truck was reading a higher boost than what it was actually producing and went into limp mode. My boost gauge was reading about 35-36 psi. So I'm going to attempt the same pass again this weekend.
I don't have the paperwork with me other wise I would list what my two programs are/were. I know this time I the tech said that he scanned it for any codes and got nothing. I don't think my dealer would just do the minimum, since I've been going there since '98 with all my rigs, and I used to work there. Been friends with some of these people for many years, I hope Ford does do it right.

I looked into your questions Don and I found that the program numbers (11B25 in this case) are sequentially numbered but they are used for all vehicle lines as well. We dont publicly post the specific information for each program but letters are sent out to the current owners of vehicles involved, which explain las vegas hotels deals the changes. I also found that the updates are written in the USA! I hope that sheds some light on your questions.
