My 2003's cruise control stopped working. I took it to the dealer and the told me the drum that holds the CC cable is broken; which allows the CC cable to fall out of the drum. They said the whole throttle body need to be replaced to the tune of $800. I was wondering if there is a simple repair for this. Is it possible to drill throught the CC drum and use a cable tie or safety wire to hold the cable on the drum? What is the drum made out of anyway, plastic? I do all highway driving and CC is a huge help on he long hauls.
Thanks for the info guys. That's what I love about this site, all the info. Do you know what years and other models I can get a TB off of to fit my 03 CRV? I'd like to try and just take the CC drum off the TB and install on mine. Once again thanks for taking the time to read and answer my post.
