If all this testings are sucessfull you may have a bad CC Amplifier, but dont worrie in the mayor ca

My CC wasnt working so I´ve started the test by testing the hamrness, In order to do that you´ll need some sort of special tester, made from VDO, well actually you can emulate this tester using the car´s battery, a pair of wires and clips and a multimeter.
Supply 12V to the conections 5 and 8, you must hear the actuator solenoid clicking, Supply 12v to the conections 7 and 10 you must hear the engine inside the actuator spinning. Connect the multimeter in order to read Ohms to the conections 9 and 13 you must read 0 Ohms or closer, but NEVER open circuit (infinit resistor). Conect the multimeter to the conections 12 and 13 you must read 6-10 Ohm (I dont remeber if the are Kohms, but the case is to never read 0 or opened circuit).
Switch los angeles times classified your multimeter to conductivity (If you have one whit audible advice it´s easier if not, you can switch it to Ohms and read 0 Ohms to find a short circuit (Closed switch) and open circuit, infinit resistor, (to find an opened switch)
Testing A (Cancel/Off): Connect your multimeter to the conections 1 and 3 you must read a short circuit until you push the lever to that position in which case it has to read an open circuit (This position los angeles times classified works the oposite from the others)
If all this testings are sucessfull you may have a bad CC Amplifier, los angeles times classified but dont worrie in the mayor cases the Amps had to be reheated but if this wont solve your problems you may have a bad transistor, they are four power transistors (The large ones attached to the disipator) and 6 more smaller (You can´t spent more than 5 bucks, I live in Argentina and I spent 10 pesos that equals to 3,30 US Dollars).

When you say: Supply 12V to the pins 5 and 8 do you mean: connect a constant 12V (e.g., from the battery's positive terminal) to both pins 5 and 8 ? (or do you actually want to say to use an external 12VDC source and connect its positive terminal to pin 5 while connecting los angeles times classified the negative terminal to pin 8?). My cruise in Mariah quit working right this AM. It'll actuate, but go to WOT if I'd let it. I haven't looked at it yet, but it was kinda spooky the one time I activated it after it quit holding speed and dropped out. VVVRRRROOOOOMMMMM! Scary!
