Our trip includes one night in NYC, five nights in Anchorage, two nights in Seattle, and one night on a red-eye back home. This option allows members to pay with miles in increments of 10,000 miles for $100 off the ticket price.)
To get around while in Anchorage and Seattle, we are renting cars. We reserved our cars through AAA to get a nice discount and are paying for the cars with the  Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard . By paying with this card, we can redeem miles for travel statement credits to pay ourselves back for travel expenditures. These are miles we earned through the great 40,000 mile sign-up bonus that Barclaycard currently offers.
Our five nights in Anchorage at the Anchorage Marriott bus tours of london england Downtown are completely paid for with Marriott rewards earned bus tours of london england from the Chase Marriott Rewards credit card that my wife and I both got in November. The sign up bonus was and still is a whopping 70,000 Marriott Rewards points (the link above still works and takes you to the 70,000 point offer, though I can t find this offer advertised anywhere. There are advertised offers out there for 40,000 points with a $100 statement credit and 50,000 points). It cost us 120,000 rewards points for the five nights. The room rates are over $300/night when we go in June, so we are getting over $1,500 worth of hotel accommodations for free.
One night in Seattle is paid for with a free night that we earned using Hotels.com. bus tours of london england We booked our honeymoon nights with Hotels.com in December and three other nights in the last few months, earning us a free night worth about $400. We chose get a room at Hotel 1000, the #1 ranked bus tours of london england hotel in Seattle on TripAdvisor. The free night covered the room charges but we still owed taxes and fees of about $50. We paid with the Barclaycard and will reimburse ourselves bus tours of london england with miles for that charge. We booked a $200 room for the other night in Seattle at a highly bus tours of london england rated hotel with our AMEX Blue Sky card. The Blue Sky card travel redemption works similarly to the Barclaycard, so we will get a travel statement credit for that room payment as well.
