Have you ever been to Washington D.C.? If you haven't and I've made you want to check it out, then y
One of the first vacations I took without mauicar rental my parents was to Washington D.C. with my friends. I'll never forget how excited we all were to be there and it took us an entire week to do everything we wanted to do. There's a lot to learn there so I've compiled a list of some of my favorite muse see places around Washington.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum - This is my number one place to see in the entire area. Everyone needs to go to this museum to see the truth of what happened to the Jewish people. As a Jew myself, it was heartbreaking mauicar rental and a tear wrencher but it was much needed.
After walking around for a while, we ended up taking a stop at Union Station. Who would have knew that the entire bottom floor of this train station would have a huge food court and shopping district?
One night, we ended up taking a cruise on the Potomac River with Capitol River Cruises and it was amazing. The ride was so smooth and we had such a blast. It was well worth it and coming from someone who hates boats that means a lot!
My last must see place was George Washington's house at Mount Vernon, VA. This was the first stop my friends and I took after leaving the airport. The tour was amazing and the entire time I felt like I was in another time.
Have you ever been to Washington D.C.? If you haven't and I've made you want to check it out, then you should enter to win a family trip for 4 to either Los Angeles or Washington D.C., courtesy of Atlantic Luggage ! The trip includes airfare, hotel, $300 activity allowance, and 4-pieces of Atlantic luggage.
I haven t visited Washington DC since I was a young teen and I d definitely like to go back soon, especially as part of a homeschool lesson for my kids. The Holocaust museum would be really important for us to see.
