Ex-LAPD officer Christopher Jordan Dorner is a real-life William Foster. He grew up among us to realize his childhood dream of joining the Thin Blue Line; first as an explorer scout, then as an LAPD recruit. He was an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve and finally a member of the post-consent decree Los Angeles Police Department, the finest (Handout) in the land. Everything about Christopher Dorner pointed to the highest principles men and women can aspire to.
