This year, Cruising for a Cure will help two great organizations. Funds raised will benefit Siteman
After the loss of his father, Gary David, to pancreatic cancer in 2006, Brian David and his family decided that they were going to do what they could to bring about an end to this terrible disease. Inspired by tragedy, Cruising for a Cure is one way you can help fight the beast that has affected so many people we know, love and care about.
This year, Cruising for a Cure will help two great organizations. Funds raised will benefit Siteman Cancer Center in support of cancer research as well as local organization, Johnny’s Army Foundation.
“We chose to include Johnny’s Army this year, because even though Johnny and his family are still fighting the battle, they are taking the time and effort to help other kids with cancer,” he explained.
The event will include a car show outside, with classic cars muscle cars, hotrods and motorcycles. Then inside, there will be a pinewood derby race, open to all ages (must bring own cars). Barbeque and drinks will be available all day, with great tunes on the loud speaker.
We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. Bring your family and enjoy spending the day with a wonderful group of people and leave, knowing that you have made a difference in the fight against this horrible disease.
